Friday 7 : sun, dolphin and regatta !!

undefinedThis morning the Class 8 boats left Chantereyne port with a 15 knots South-West wind, under a cloudy sky. The start for the first windward-leeward race is announced. Centrale Nantes, CUS Politecnico and Southampton are called : the two first come back to the line, but the english crew goes on...The first team is ASUN Nantes , followed by ENSA Brest and INSA Rouen 2. IPC Cherbourg meets difficulties with its keel. After some figures and two damaged spinnakers, ASUN Nantes wins followed by Centrale Nantes and INSA Rouen 2.

For the second race of round 4, the wind rounded so the course is changed. The sun appears, and the harbour's dolphin comes to welcome the entrants of the Trophée de l'Ile Pelée. While some slight damages are being repaired on boats the clouds have gone, strengthening the wind.
1.30 PM : false start from Karlsruhe who is disqualified. The wind hits 20 knots. ASUN Nantes (after a 360°!) arrives 1st and Centrale Nantes 2nd before ENSIETA Brest.
The dolphin enjoys the straight-darting boats... The sun is now all-present... Ideal weather! Crew switching. the dolphin
